Ashland Glass Act is located in Ashland, Oregon and operated by Daniel and Stef Seffinger.
DANIEL SEFFINGER
Danny has a special interest in the dynamics of movement in creating designs for his art pieces. He is also inspired by color combinations found in nature. Danny experiments with the effects of temperature, heat, gravity and chemical reactions in glass to create unique one of kind art pieces. Over the years he has developed a variety of cold working and sandblasting skills to give his work a unique finish. Danny has a wide range of experience in a variety of innovative glass skills.
Dan holds glass demonstrations at local galleries and demonstrates glass techniques. He also teaches kiln form glass making to students.
Dan is currently experimenting with construction of glass boxes. He continues his interest in creating cane and murrine.
STEF SEFFINGER
Stef has worked with a variety of art forms throughout her life including drawing, photography, water color and pottery . Stef first worked with glass using torch work to make glass beads. She has included these skills in creating kiln formed glass.
Stefani is very involved in environmental and social issues and has created a number of glass art pieces related to these issues.
Stef is taking a series of master classes in creating imagery in glass with renowned artist, Narcissus Quagliata. She is also creating lamp work projects including glass beads.
Both Stef and Dan have both taken advanced level workshops and classes at the Bullseye Learning Center in Portland as well as university classes in design, painting and sculpture.
