Recent Projects and Directions

Danny has been working with a variety of new techniques including making sculptural pieces, and glass under pressure techniques. . We are  currently creating a series of optic illusion pieces for an Artist of the month event in August of 2026.

Stef has been learning to make glass portraits using Tim Carey's techniques. Last year she participated a series of master classes in transformation of glass with Narcissis Quagliata. Stef is also creating  garden sculptures and jewelry pieces.

Danny has been experimenting with creating  large pieces. His largest  creation is a three foot long murrini sculptured vessel.

FIRE AND SMOKE DROP BOWLS 

Stef has worked as a city councilor and member of the Forestlands commission for Ashland. She created a series of fire and smoke vessels to raise public awareness  about ways to promote  forest rehabilitation and  reduce forest fires.

MAKING A CHANNEL GLASS TABLE

 Danny took a workshop at Bullseye Art Learning Center in Portland to learn the process of how to create a glass top table. Here are pictures of the process.

Magic  Bowls

Stef has  created a series of unique small bowls with hand pulled cane murini and stringer sheets and part pieces. Each bowl is unique, it takes many steps to complete . These include  making the elements for each bowl, design, unique slumping process and hand finishing each bowl..  

MODERN ART BOWL SERIES

Stef created a series of 12 drop bowls featuring abstract designs in bold colors inspired by artwork in the modern art museums of Paris.  Here she shows the design of one of her bowls. This piece features three layers of glass with different designs created for the inside and exterior of the bowl. Stef is making her own drop molds for this project . 
Custom Projects

these last 5 years Danny has been working with local residents, students and visitors to help them create unique  glass pieces designed for specific spaces, sizes and functions. He has  created glass cabinet fronts, light fixtures and table tops in different styles to fit both contemporary and folk art themes.

​After a trip to Fiji Danny has been inspired by the coral and tropical fish while snorkeling on the coral coast one of the most beautiful soft coral reefs remaining in our seas. We hope the pieces we create from this series will inspire protection of our oceans..

Stef continues her interest in drop bowls. working on new design elements and patterns for her drop bowls as well as making new shapes and larger  pieces. She has recently completed a series of 9 drop mold vessels titled"layers".

Art Bowls displayed at the Schneider Museum Gala
 Danny created a framed and lighted glass tapestry that in titled HOPE. The ribbon and diversity of colors represent this meaning. The first image is without lights that are surrounding the piece under the frame. The second image is with lights illuminating the tapestry. 

      Wall Panel with LED Lighting

This tapestry wall panel has a maple frame and LED lighting that changes color from red, purple, blue yellow and green tones to create a stunning display.
